Our institute has conducted a hands-on demonstration on scleral & RGP contact lens fittings on 3rd March, Tuesday 2020 by Mr. Gagan Sahni and Mr. Dhawal Desai, Silverline Purecon lenses Pvt. Ltd. Delhi. The session was started at 11.00 am with indications of fitting scleral contact lens followed by case presentation, the practice of care and maintenance of the same and then hands-on practice.

We have got a keratoconus patient from DYPMCHRC “Ophthalmology department”. His best-corrected visual acuity in the right eye was 6/9 and in the left eye was 6/60p. we fitted a mini scleral contact lens on him. There was a marked improvement in his vision. The vision was improved from 6/60p to 6/9. The workshop was very informative and was very useful for the students and faculty.
